The copper is run like a flat line out the back or off a planner board . The weight of the copper line takes the lure down. 22' per hundered feet of line in the water. 300' of copper is down around 60+' You have a 20' to 50' leader from the copper to the lure. The size of the copper line keeps the fleas off. The short leader from the dodger or flasher to the fly 20" + is in the water Horazantly so the fleas don't hang on it. Because its out so far from the boat its a stealth preasention, away from the noise of the boat and the riggers. Its catches fish but is a pain in the butt to reel in. Unless you have an electric reel like Billy V.
