Braid / fused (fireline original) and floro leader for Perch

Spooling up a new Spinning reel for Perch thought I'd use 6# Fireline Orginal fused and 6 to 8 # floro. Waddaya think ... right weights?

also What would you recommend for Smallies ( if I ever find any on Seneca) I have some 14# Fireline (Original fused ) would that be heavy enough? What size floro leader?

I love braid to feel perch hits. I use much heavier braid and light mono leaders for cushion off spreaders. I figure if perch are dumb enough to eat off spreaders light main line doesn't matter.

6 lb Berkeley Nanofil with a 4 lb fluoro leader. Ultralight setup with some length to the rod. Ready, set, catch!

I use fireline 10/2 # right to the spreader for the perch.
