I put a brand new 90 HP e tec on my boat last summer and just wanted to share what an amazing machine this thing is

I trolled for for 5 hour and made 2 7 mile runs last weekend

Total gas used 2.2 gallons

Last august we fished Ontario for 11 hours trolling and running and the entire day it burned 4.6 gallons

simply amazing

I used 32 gallons in my 60 horse e-tec in all of 2011. I'm getting a kicker this year to try to cut down on my fuel usage in 2012.

Thats awesome. If I had a motor that got that kind of gas mileage I could cut my on board tank in half. I get about 2 miles to the gallon, if I troll for 8 hours I use 8-10 gallons (if I troll with my big motor.) When my big motor takes a dump I will definitely be buying an e tec. 2 stroke power and price with the efficency of a 4 stroke. Truely awesome.

That is impressive! I burned through prolly 8-9 gallons yesterday in 8 hours.
