outboard carb adjusting

I have a 1988 70 hp Yamaha. Even after a warmup the motor stalls when put into gear.

I was told that it is a adjust of one of the 3 carbs, how do I know which one to adjust or I am I best to take it to the dealer. Thanks Doug

from yer post ,ya need a mech..so ya dont chase the wrong problem..ya near port bay??

Hank at L&M (moderator here) is pretty good with a rubber mallet and a screwdriver...

....stalls as soon as you put it in gear............or as you try to throttle up ?.........if as you try to throttle up have someone pump the primer-ball......if it works Ok/fair/better I would get the fuel-pump rebuilt.....E-10 weak'ns the diapharm a lot sooner than it would normaly....... happen to me with a 1988 Mec........good luck.....

motor idles fine its when you put it in gear that it stalls

Mine would idle fine also and would run at idle in gear then stall when I went to throlle up..............sorry it didn't help you any.........
