Easy to fix Chris.

Remove the side plate and one screw holds the clicker in.

Call Diawa parts and they will probably send you one free but there only a couple bucks so get a spare or two.

The ones I got are for the 27's and I'm not sure they are the same size.

Probaly only need the copper colored circular shaped spring Chris.

They crack over time and lose the tension.

Thats why I'm always hollering at you guys back there to turn off the clickers when retrieving lures for lure changes.

When theres a fish on, I like to hear the drag screaming so I don't bother you guys.

Back to your original question, just pull the side plate off and make sure the rest of the mechanism slides back and forth alright and don't fall apart.

If it does all you need is the circular shaped spring.

Call me if you have any questions.

Good luck.

St Peters Outfitters in Oswego should have one.

Gone! Out of business... ;)

That really sucks.

Seemed like a good guy and stocked alot of parts guys needed.

Are you sure he's not just seasonal ?

Thanks

I have 8 - 47's & 27's (20+ years). My clicker is always on so I usually have to replace one or two a season. The first time I had to replace a spring I ordered several so I didn't have to worry about a reel being down and waiting for springs. The were cheap enough to have spares. The spring change isn't a big deal at all.

Google "Mike's Reel Repair " and check out the parts break down for your reels if you don't have one. There is also a toll free number if you want to talk to a person and see what other standby parts would be good to have.

Glen, I have never heard you holler. must be someone else

:rofl::rofl::yes:

I keep telling those dam guys I'm easy going Chris.

I seem to be much calmer this year without the tournament team training going on and all.

We got to get out soon.

The Brown fishing has been nothing short of spectacular.
