having a loose screw issue

I have a t top and the aluminum poles that are attached to the top of the cuddy are screwed in. A few of the screws are loose and won't stay tight. I tried to put wood shavings and liquid nails in the holes but that did not help. Any suggestions to help with my loose screws is appreciated. I don't want to drill thru and bolt.

Try 3M 5200 in the holes instead.

Quik steel putty. Drillable, tapable. Auto parts stores, or set it with 5200.

Actually 4200 might be a better choice. 5200 is a permanent adhesive/sealant, once 5200 sets up and fully cures, good luck ever getting those back out, even if you want to.

If possible, go to the next size screw.

Plastic drywall anchors of the correct size. I restore C2 Corvettes (fiberglass) and use these to attach interior trim panels such as moldings and door panels where the factory screw is no longer big enough to grab a 45 year old hole.

At least Ray got the funny part of it. Thanks. I went with the 4200. Used it on my rub rail that has a tendency to slide when you touch the dock.
