SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

Fishing has just been nothing but super out of sandy and the whole south shore from what ive been hearing , friday evening started out the weekend in 80 fow and got set with wire"s out 150 ,180 1.5 setting and 220 and 240 2.5 setting with spin doctors flys( chrome green dot) (white green dot) 42nd and the nbk and some DM ss on the rigger"s hit 100fow and wires started ripping boated 5 fish in the mid 20lb class then we hook what we thought was going too be a top derby fish 45 mins later we boat a 24lb foul hooked up side the head that came in like a dead log got dark and wasted the last hour with him.

saturday morning went west found fish right out front of the pump house worked them over with the same stuff in the water with the exception of pro trolls on the rigger deep and a couple of spoons on the rigger that pulled some long skinny 8-9lb steelhead with there heads looking too big for there bodys, skinny steelhead this year for sure makes me think? would end the morning with 10 kings in the 20 too 26lb range with another half dozon smaller mixed sized ones from 7 to 12lb with a few browns and a laker.

Sunday was a carbon copy of saturday with the exception of a 28 and a 29lb but dicided too not go weigh them in and just stay out and keep the hunt going for a bigger one that never happened . The fish got there feed bags on and are getting bigger everyday will be interesting too see what happens the last week of the Loc derby.

If Sandy holds true, the fishing will be great up until the start of the Fall Derby, then the bottom will fall out. Enjoy it while you can! I've been away on vacation, but I will be back at them this weekend, sans Keith who's in Utah on the Green River fly fishing til Sunday. It sucks when vacations and fishing trips interfere with the best king fishing of the year :D
