Yamaha 9.9 problems starting and with staying running

Make sure your tank is vented correctly or it will cause a suction on the line and the fuel pump cannot overcome the suction so the motor dies and allows the tank to re-pressurize and it all happens again. Mine was doing this it would troll for about 20 mins. then just die. once it died it would start right back up and run for 20 mins. it took me a couple tries till it dawned on me what was happening.

Fuel separation means your using ethanol gas find non ethanol and a lot of problems disappear. Use seafoam,startron or marine stabil good luck.
