Really tough evening, and there were very few.boats out. I guess they new something we.didin't. Didn't mark one good.school of bait fish and the big boys weren't around either.

Try fishing a little higher in the water column. We spanked em friday night on wire dipseys 140-160 back with big paddles/flys. went 12/15 in a few hours with most fish being matures and they were pretty dark for late july. Rockets took a couple as well. Fished the drop off 160-180 fow. down speed 2.4-2.6 on the fishhawk. :beer::yes:

Thanks for the advice, that probably would've have worked for us as well. Stupid me went with my gut instead of my head. I'm normally good off the shelf in the 120-140 or 160-200, didn't mark any big schools of bait, but I did see one on the surface-should have changed tactics immediately.
