radar housing

Does anyone know if the radome housing can be painted without affecting the radar ?

Mine is getting a bit weathered .

OK...it gets worse . Can a crack be fixed with fiberglass, then painted without issue?

I would see if the housing can be replaced for a reasonable price. My limited knowledge on radar would make me think it would cause a problem since the dome is acting as your antenna. I would call the manufacturer and talk to technician.

It's an autohelm st50...no longer made...if any one has a cover for the radome I will buy it.
