After work I called my buddy Ed to see if he had his boat ready & to get a current condition report, he informed me he was ready to go and the lake looked good with a slight south breeze. I called my son to see if he wanted to go, he did so we headed up to the lake and got on the water at around 5 pm.

The first fish hit the first line out, before we even got the planner boards in the water, the second was not much later. We fished for just over an hour with consistent action in the west bay. 7&9 Rapalas were on the menu in hot steel and bleeding copper. Our final fish of the evening was a steelhead al the rest were browns.

Water temp in the west bay 38.8 to 40.2, east bay 38.8. Speed did not seem to matter much as long as we stayed < 3 mph.

It was the kids 13th birthday, it was great that Ed took us out to have a little fun ( even though his face doesn't show it in the pic).
