Holy Gar

Anyone else see that monster gar in the front portion of the new Bass Pro catalog? That fish has to be over 10ft and several hundred pounds.

Any one know the story behind that fish???????

Those things are scary, when i was in a reptile museum in missouri they had one mounted. The record is around 350

I caught a gar pike in FL last week.... loaded with teeth! Quite a fighter on my bass gear.

In Fisherman did a show on Alligator Gar a while back. Unreal!!! Pretty interesting stuff.

It seems that that fish was taken with a bow and arrow!

I have no judgement on bow fishing...but it does become less interesting for me than thinking that the giant gar was "shot" instead of "caught"
