Yea marked some around 120fow water but no takers waves were not that bad in the arternoon

Fished the am out of port bay. Hopefully the afternoon will pick off. Nothing solid maybe a couple of knock offs.

Decided to give fair haven another shot today before heading to Mexico bay. Bad idea! Fished 7 to noon and could not get anything to go!

Does anyone ever chuck spoons around the State Park's pond outlet from a boat when the salmon start running? Not big on Salmon fishing tribs but might give that a shot assuming they are moving in a few weeks or so

Fish are still there. Decent numbers can still be caught east towards Oswego. The fish are still setting up and preparing to stage. Don't be afraid to drag bottom and fish the marks

Anyone been catching kings in the bay or pond yet?

 

We got a couple cabins in the park next weekend for my bachelor party weekend. Its definitely not the traditional weekend, so I want to try and make sure the guys still have fun.

Just got back today, fished Sat. & today in the bay, diving channel, and pond -- didn't catch anything and never saw a salmon jump.

I saw one jump in the marina the other day. Just after the front moved thru. Its been cold and windy since then  so perhaps this weekend we will see more action. I fished the hole a week ago and there wasnt anything in it.  Its day by day at this point. I use storm lure (hot n tot) hot tigers they work the best for me this time of year.

The lake has also been rolling. Out at nine mile temperatures have been swinging from 70 def to as low as 45 deg the last couple days.

We stayed at Fair haven SP for the week and could not get out much with the wind and waves and we never did get out in the 120 to 150 fow range

 

Not much showing on the Sonar and we never saw a fish.

So basically all the snow we got is gone, its been warm and I guess one could put a boat in the water lol..It is crystal clear, calm and a nice grey day here lol. I was almost temped to throw a line off the pier lol..

I can relate to that guys, especially if it were March LOL. Maybe no hard freeze this year, if it does get bitter cold there are lakes and dams that could freeze solid, that's no joke, I've never in all my put togethers saw the water table so low. The dam by me just has a river flowing through it. It's bad down here, if we get no snow or it doesn't rain we are in trouble.

Well we just had the two feet of snow across the area but the ground is still soft. thats why it melted so quick. It aint March yet lol. But its really not that far off.

You got that right.  If I can get one good month of fishing on ice I'm happy, then it's back out there for browns by mid march.

Just so everyone knows there is a white out in Fair Haven today with a snow blizzard lol

Yea I just saw the blizzard warning for Wayne County on tv. Can't say I wish I was there...8-]

Well for January Ill take it, not much snow on the ground, ice is formed down this end, chute was clear but thats it. Im sure it will really freeze in the next month or so. We are expecting more Lake effect tonight which has really skirted the area for now

Looking forward to getting out on the ice. New tip-ups and replacing the throttle on my power auger.

Ice is building nicely but todays rain and warm temps keeps me thinking it aint far away now lol
