Oneida 5/19

Went to one of my first stops first thing, and had it all to myself.

First 1.00 mph east wind drift and boated a 21"er from a perch-patterened blade/bouncer.

2 more pulls over that spot, working it shallower, and deeper was nothing, and sporadic marks as well.

Picked up and motored over to the north shore, and,........... mama!!

Marks galore from 15 ft down to the bottom, from 19 fow all the way to 31 fow!!

As I found, alot were shorts, but during gently returning those, it was a steady pick of good fish.

I sucombed to running only 2 rods as that was plenty to keep up with.

Rain came about 9:30 or so, but did not stop the bite, or myself either.

Saw the jig fisherman swinging nets as well.

By the time 11:00 came around things had dramitcally slowed, and after working another 70 hr. work week, and getting up at 3:45, I was feeling it, but it was a good tired, with 3 Walleyes in the box all over 19".

This coming weekend, we are going to strap our salmonoid hats on and see if the western end of the big lake will be as giving as Oneida was.
