I have a yamaha T9 XHR

mod 9mxhp ser# 702952

Question Anyone know if this come with the ability to charge? I do see copper coils up under the fly wheel that run to the ignitionl. The book eludes that charges i just see where it would hook up. I do have controls for for remote thottle operation. Also is this a high thrust model?

The T in T9 stands for high thrust, X is for 25" shaft, H is for handle steering, and the R stands for the year it was made, 1993. As far as charging capabilities, I doubt it, without it being an electric start model. I've got that same motor, 1989 vintage but with electric start and charging.

i forgot to mention it does have a starter. according to this link someone else sent me it appears it has a 10amp and electric startbeing standard charging system. ill probably have to contact yamaha.
