A lil winter walleye getaway

Recommended Posts

Mike.. I'm jealous! But hopefully not for long. I'll swing by after work today, but I'm sure that the river opened back up. If fact, it's supposed to crest at 10' tomorrow so it should be perfect by mid-week. Boat's going back on the charger tonight! Wife leaves for Florida on Weds.. and I've got Thurs. and Fri. off! Life is GOOD! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Looking for advice on lakes/rivers within an 8 hour drive of buffalo, I can drive a little further if it’s worthwhile. I’ve got off for 2 weeks the end of October early November. I always wanted to just take off and go fish by myself, but being that it is November I’d like to go somewhere south of New York. Shoot me some ideas of great places to check out, I’m not 100% set on fishing walleye I would just love to try a new fishery that’s out of my comfort zone. Look forward to hearing some

    • Trailer tires for the winter

I have two boats that I leave out during the winter months. I usually take the tires off the trailers for the Winter, but this is getting old and so am I. The trailer tires set on concrete during this time.  Other than moving South, does anyone use some type of spray on them for the Winter and if so, what would be the best brand.

    • I think I got the OK to look for a used boat this winter.

Wife finally budged a bit on getting a newer boat - now I'm trying to figure out what I would want to get. Budget is 10k or less. Primarily going to be used for musky and trolling the finger lakes. Maybe lake O at times when it's nice. Probably leaning towards a 16 or 17.5 deep V which I would still be able to fit in my garage. My current boat is an 82 Duranautic - only 70" wide which is very cramped for my brother and I. Will spend probably 70/30 trolling / casting on this b
