Going down this Summer and would like to get a handle on the fishing first.

I was just down there duck hunting a couple weeks ago. The duck guides do some rock fish (striper) fishing. I guess it is pretty hot. Where about are you going out of? I was off of Christfield Maryland.

We are looking to catch a few stripers during the first week in June. Probably out of Hart-Miller State Park or North Point State Park. Both East of Baltimore on the West shore.

Lots of 'bills around? Old Squaw? Many Cans or Reds?

Storm warning, sorry for the late response. I just saw your reply. The duck hunting was good. Lots of ducks in the area at that time. Tons of redheads and buffleheads. Good numbers of widgeon although they were super wary and we never got a shot at one of those. Shot a few gadwalls. Shot a few nice pintails also. I never saw any broadbills. Oldsquall were all over the place on our way out to the blind but we never saw any while we were hunting. btw, the blind was an easy 10 miles out in the middle of the bay. Lots of Brant and we knocked the heck out of those. Tried to blast a few of those miserable swans but didnt have big enough lead, er I mean steel to bring them down. You could hear the shot smacking them. We had a great time. Those local guys on that island are some littering fools! They throw everything in that water and never think twice about it.
