Kicker motor bracket

It depends mainly on weight of motor. 4 strokes are typically a little heavier end have more thrust which requires a sturdier bracket. Also price depends on vertical travel or fixed bracket for kicker with power trim

I've run kickers(9.9 & 8 hp Yamahas) on my last three boats and found the best mount is a fixed stationary mount.I went with one made by Adventure marine  http://www.adventuremarinemfg.com/

It's the model 4100 and is made for four stroke kickers. They rate the capacity at 140 lbs,but imo that's way under rated,It's pretty heavy duty and can take a lot more than 140lbs.I'm sure they do it more for a liability issue.

Just my opinion, but after running the fixed mount,I would never go back to an adjustable bracket. The fixed bracket never moves,no bouncing around when running on the water or over the road, and it has a lot of setback,so you can easily tilt up the kicker out of the water when you're running with the primary engine.

I use it with a T8 Yamaha with power tilt, four years now with no problems.
