In shallow water?

Usually around the area the thermalcline intersects the bottom.

Temps overated IMO . Fish are cold blooded. They are where they want to be & they are where they need to be. If the bait is up in warm water, they go get it. If they want sanctuary & where they feel safe . they go deep where its cold. Fish thru & below the bait . Fish the hooks.
