Went out last saturday. Started trolling the edge half mile before boridino in 60-120'. Caught plenty of 17" lakers and only 1 small bow and 2 small landlocks. Plenty of action just no size. First time I fished it all year so mot sure what the bows and landlocks want. Usually first thing in am is the best bet with presentations away from the boat. (Dipseys and planers )

Never did well down rigging for bows in the summer, but if you try it find the thermocline usually down 40-60ft and fish around there for them. Good bow action usually doesn't start till October that's the fun time. Down rigging for Lakers at this time on the other hand can be quite good just lots of smaller ones, right on the bottom. Ditto what Sammy said. I'm usually off the  water by 10am unless its cloudy I might go to noon. Good luck
