seneca perch

can anybody please give me some info on perch fishing. i will be traveling 2hours and launching at  s lake state park or traveling to sampson .. any info would be apperciated  .. been a loNg time since i been to SENECA .. again thank you LOCALS ......

You don't want to launch at the Seneca Lake State Park right now .....here is why.....(pic below taken last week). I'd either launch at the Chamber of Commerce (itself under construction as well but launch is "doable"), or pay a few bucks and launch at Roy's (on west side of lake Rt #14) and be close to Glass Factory Bay, or launch at Sampson. It's anyone's guess as far as depth to start....have to experiment in or out from 20 ft mark I guess. Minnows or if you're rich and can still find them...softshells or Oakleaf bugs or something resembling them in "rubber"
