Any steelhead/brown action on Eastern shore?

Recommended Posts

Might make a final trip to Port Ontario region to target fish off of river mouths; is anyone still fishing the lake?  Last year we tried spring tactics during this time of year with not much success; apparently, the action must be slow because we saw very few boats at this time last year.  I realize most salmon are in the streams by now, but shouldn't steelies and browns be in the area?

makes sense, but I've never done it.  I fished the Salmon River last weekend and there was a ton of salmon, but not many trout around yet.  I'm sure you'd have a shot.  You might do better around Oswego, but around any mouth you'd have a chance.

Went out on the lake last Thurs fished from the salmon river down past Selkirk, trollin sticks off boards and spoons off riggers. No takers in the 2 hours I was out there. I also used same tactics as spring....,can't blame a guy for tryin. Lol
