Planer Board Rods for Browns

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a rod and reel setup to use for running inline planer boards for browns in the spring? Looking for something that will handle pulling the Church walleye boards but not be too overkill for spring browns. Thanks!

I run 9' bw ugly sticks 1101...same rods I use on my riggers for all fish.  Light enough for browns, yet stout enough for kings.  Run shimano charter special reels, top shot my 30lb main line with 12lb for stick baits.  Also use the walleye boards with this setup with no issues.

I find that some of the near 8ft glass crankbait bass rods are the best, much better technology for the money than a lot of the trolling rods and much lighter. Here is a couple links to some on sale now. You won't be disappointed. I've converted a lot of people.
