Hit the water early Friday morning to a cold and stiff breeze from the east set up near four mile and worked that area for the morning 2 riggers 6 long lines a mixture of cranks and short coppers and spoons. The first king of the season took a clown wonderbread reef runner for a ride. landed a nice 17 lb 10 ounce king. By 12 the lake was jus nasty very rough and cold so we figured we would head back to the dock and relax for the afternoon, before the big fish Friday weigh in. We ended up taking third place jus behind silver junkies and thrillseeker.

Saturday morning we had our game plan ready to go we set up in 35 fow infront of weller bay, and it was game on before we had our planer boards deployed we doubled on lakers, once we got our long lines in the water our rigger went off with a moonshine spoon down 22 land a nice king jus shy of 20 lbs! Good start to the day, next one of our wonderbread reef runners back 150 on the boards took off landed a nice 15 lbs king, great start to the morning. From then on we had to weed through lakers to get our kings, it was about 10 lakers to 1 king we left the pack of boats near weller and found a small warm pocket near 4 mile and we proceeded to do donuts on that spot for a few hours and we picked our box of kings. 7 kings in the box with a 15 + lb average, along with 40+ lakers and a few cohos and browns, reef runners and moonshine spoons were the ticket for us. Pulled lines jus before 2 and realized we had major starter problems with one engine so we had to come in on 1 engine, good thing we were close to port.

Had an 81 lb box after the weigh in putting us in 1st place which we were extremely happy with considering a lot of excellent tournament teams had it tough on day 1

Now to concentrate on our starter problems we called everyone in the niagara region and none had the starter we needed! Our American friends on Yankee troller and the dirty goose overheard our engine problems and did everything they could to help us! All the guys on those teams are class acts and great guys! Rick, Craig, jay, rob, Casey and especially jerry falluca and Eric marcinkowski who went out of their way to help Eric had a starter at his house in Wilson and jerry volunteered to go get it at 7 pm on Saturday night! Ended up being the wrong starter but we still owe those guys huge for there help. Thx again guys

So Sunday we left the dock with 1 engine and slowly made our way to our waypoints and obviously there was some boat traffic awaiting us, slow start and we only managed 1 king bite all day tried for some coho in skinny and managed quite a few fish but nothing that would measure. So ended up 4 fish short on a disappointing 2nd day and got bumped down to 14th place. All in all good weekend tho great to see our Tourny friends. Can wait for the next one good luck to everyone fishing the WHI this weekend.

Can blame it all on engine problems The 2nd day of fishing was tougher for the entire field, so the engine wasn't our only problem but the engine limited us on relocation during the day

I think if you had that second engine working, you guys would have picked up and found marks somewhere else. It could have made a big difference.
