the harbor was full of large alwives.Thousands of gulls seen feeding off the bait.

Many deadfish on the shoreline also.Could have been a result of the hard winter weakened the baitfish.The state stocked 16,000 browns last week.This makes for tough fishing for perch.

Later this week lakers offshore might be a good bet till the bait laeaves the shallow water.

We went out of Sodus Point Sunday 5/18 and tried everything I had. No luck on the boards or downriggers. We fished from 10' to 100'. The water temp was 45 degrees and the lake was flat. Lots of bait in the bay and channel. The Sea Gulls were having a ball. Maybe later this week the fishing will improve and the bait will head for the lake.
