Shore Fishing

I'm headed to the NJ/NYC area this weekend to visit some family and friends and unfortunately cannot bring the boat because I will be bringing a trailer home. I know it may be a long shot but does anyone know a place to try fishing from shore? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Where exactly are you going? There is plenty to do along the Jersey coast but as with most fishing location means everything.

I would give Sandy Hook a try on top of Jersey Shore. Fees go into effect this weekend and might want to get there early, park fills up quick on weekends but you may luck out with weather this weekend

Thanks for the info guys I wasn't able to get a chance to go with the weather and everything. But I did get a chance to talk to someone that said this is a great time of year for them from shore. He said he fishes from the beach using a salted clam for bait and has just hammered them this year.
