Planin on fishing out of small boat harbor this weekend or 18 mile, wasn't sure if they have started to turn on for daytime trolling or is it still a nite bite. Just trying to see if its worth the trip. Thanks

surface temp went from 54 degrees wednesday to 60 yesterday. The boat traffic as expected is unbelievable. We have been getting them with everyone else on woodlawn and hamburg has been hot. Don't know how long it will last with warmer temps. After last nights experience with a yaa hoo  starting up his boat and literally almost ramming me and taking 3 lines with all the braid. I might wait for the day time people that don't know what they are doing.LOL I hope the guy cuts a seal in the lower unit. Some people are clueless and have no right to be out there.. unbelievable.....

It was bad last night! That's all it takes is one guy to run cross lot Infront of ten boats and there is a disaster brewing, most guys were well aware and did a great job but that handful just didn't get it,about lost it a few times, fishing was great tho. Glad to back on the eyes!

Yea was a ton of traffic. There was even 2 canoes out there at midnite, I have never had boats get that close to me, not much respect being shown. I said the heck with playin in all that traffic and got outa ther. Ended up with 6 eyes and a bunch of bass. First eye was an 8 pounder and didn't have all the rods in yet, thought we were gona have a awesome nite, but was a lil slow. fished from 630 til 1 am, started infront of windmills in 25 fow and wen it got dark went down to hamberg, [i think it was] first time nite fishing erie, then went back to wind mills by smokes creek 15-20 fow. We should have stayed ther the whole time only one other guy down ther. Got the big eye on harness with snap weights and the rest on sticks off the boards. All in all it was a great nite and cant wait to get back.

Went twice this weekend to SBH.

Friday Night - Caught a rock bass, that's it. But we learned a lot about night fishing.

Sunday morning we caught 5.

Saw a nice Canvasback in the harbor both trips.

I'm not sure how to get pics on here anymore

With those short setbacks and shallow water its gotta be almost like casting for em! I know a lot of guys like wonderbread as a color, but i ve never even had a release on it here on Otisco.

Went Tuesday night off the windmills. due to forecast Wednesday. Got one on a black and silver rapala 100 back on a planer board. Also got a mixed bag of bass, white bass, and a 6lb sheepshead. Not the day we were hoping for, kicker motor quit on us which ended the evening early. Best of luck out there.

Thanks for all the posts, good to see some walleye guys talking and sharing info, that's how we will keep our sport alive for the next generation. It helps to put our youngsters on fish wen we take them out on the water, they don't have as much fun wen were washing lures. Keep u the good work and am gna try and make it back out to erie this weekend. Will let yas kno how we do. Thanks

If the wind lays down by 6 pm this evening we will try out by the departure bouey,if not we will try trolling the outside of Donley's Wall! With the West winds at 15 mph it would be a bumpy ride off the windmills.I have a complete section of the upright freezer full of perch, now I need to fill a couple sections with walleye.I have one week before Musky Time!

Out by the Bouy was very rough going yesterday afternoon,3 to 4 ft waves with an ocasional 5fter! Ducted back in behind the walls and marked many eyes at the middle gap and south gap 15 to 18 ft down, but could not get them to go.There were about 6 boats trolling the south gap, talked to two other boat crews returning to the SBH about 11:30 pm and they went zippo as well!
