mag dipsys

Was up two weeks ago when the temp was down 120'to 140'. I bought a pair of mag dip sys and had nothing but trouble with them tangling my coppers off of the planner boards. Does anybody know what the depth range for mag dipsys is on wire?? I know the regular dipsys are 3 to 1.

I find the mags run better at 1 setting than 3 at any depth, and let them out super slow

I run mags on inside no more than 1.5 setting and standard on outside set on 3 with copper off the boards. Make sure your boards are out quite a ways to avoid tangles. There is no way to avoid a tangle when a fish hits on a turn and you copper is across the spread except for luck

If in a turn and they hit, Immediately, if you can, crank hard back to your original course and this can keep a mess from happening. It has for me!

I run my mags on a 2-3 setting. Never had a problem. But I run my boards out quite far.

the dive rate is approximately 2/1 should not be tangling your coppers unless you let them rise up after you release them.
