Dredging Braddock's Bay?

Does anyone know if the dredging of Braddock's has started?  Are they really putting in a breakwall?

I've heard conflicting reports. Planning phase, construction phase, anticipated dates, who the heck knows? It is election year...

 

I'd love an update from somebody in the know.

I've heard of break walls too, but who knows. Hope it happens, its such a colossal waste of a great bay.

I thought the reason Braddocks was so shallow is because it is down to the bedrock & to get it deeper you would have to blast.

That's a first time I heard of that. It faces north east and get loaded with sand. Because its so wide their is no ice flow to dredge it out in the winter/spring

Boatino, if you move from the Genny to Braddocks does that mean you will take your boat out more than once a year?

After reading J.D.'s attachment, it appears that there was (or supposed to have been) a public meeting at the Greece Town Hall on October 22 to explain the Army Corp. of Engineers restoration plan.

 

Did anyone go?  Did anyone know there was one?  It appears to be quite an extensive project extending into 2016 at a cost of $10,100,00!!

I was at the meeting.The plan is to restore the bay to help pike spawnning and mink and black terns.They are going to put in a wall with T,s off the wall filled in with sand.They will get the sand from the bay and that is how we will get a channel.
