How much ice is i'm Whaneta and Lamoka lakes? And what are you guys catching?

fished south end lamoka sat. good ice, poor fishing. there were several guys out there, nobody was catching, based on chatter i heard

Where abouts on the south end?

I just finished up trapping the south end and when things were open over Christmas the perch were stacked like firewood in the shallows near the channel, I always thought perch liked deep water. not sure if they would still be there with the ice on.

south end lamoka? drive down the east lake road till you see guys on the ice, you'll see where they park. access can be tricky, it's a swampy area and i've gotten wet several times getting out onto the open lake. also there are tribs that come in around there. be careful.

i'm pretty sure it's private property there but they don't seem to mind. not yet, anyway.

 

a couple of years ago i saw tracks from a pair of otters there.

I've seen the otters there before running around on the ice when the channel was open
