I think my old Islander had a 14 1/2 x17 that gave me 4200 rpm @wot

I run a 4 blade, made a nice difference getting that ass heavy boat out of the water and keeping it on plane better

Funny you should ask this,right now I have a 14 1/2 x 21 and at 3200 I'm getting 35 mph and that wot. My boat is equipped with 4.3l v6

Going to try a 15 to c how much it will make a difference. Or move to a 4 blade just dont know what pitch that will be .hope the ice leaves soo.

17 will be fine with 4 guys,,i had to drop to a 15 with 4 guys with a 4 cyc 120 hp on a 22ft alum offshore.

I really like the 4 blade. I just went to my local certified mercruiser marina and they helped me pick the right prop. Lose some top end but I don't car. It ****s and gets out of the hole now
