Braided rigger line ?

Does anyone use braided downrigger line(scotty 175lb) on their manual riggers. I'm buying a pair of new Cannon unitroll STX riggers and thinking of spooling them with Braided..good idea or not ? Should I be worried about fleas in summer ? Pros and cons please. Also should I buy weight snubbers ? Thanks !

We run Power Pro on ours. No problems with 12-14lb weights. Make trips to Lake O in mid to late August so can't comment on fleas.

Although I do not run braid on downriggers I can't see how it would not be a big mess with fleas.  They stack up on pretty much everything else.
