shimano tektoa 600lc

Purchased a 600lc tektoa   If i were to set it up for wire ( dipsey)  how much would it hold  approx. ?  Power pro 20 would be the backing . Any suggestions / input would be appreciated. Thanks

No backing, electrical tape wire to spool, 1000 ft will fill the spool.  Most wire comes in 1000ft spools.

Make sure to keep the wire tight when spooling.

With the Tekotas you won't have to tape the wire unless you want to. These is a peg on the spool so I actually crimped a loop in the wire and just hooked it on the peg and the reel easily holds 1000' of wire no backing.

I put about 175 ft of 40 lb Ande as a backing on my Tekotas, with 1000 ft of 30 lb Malin wire and it filled the spool nicely.

I like a full reel as the line counters are much more accurate.

Never been down to the backing yet on a fish.

The tape still helps. It gives the first few wraps something to grab ahold of imo.
