Steering system

Not sure if this is he right place to post but I just bought a 25 ft Wellcraft with a 200 HP Yamaha outboard is there anyone on here or any good recommendations for a steering system new or used I need everything from the wheel back to the motor any help would be appreciated

Can't go wrong with a hydraulic seastar system from teleflex.  Gives you the ability to add an auto pilot later and not have to worry about a cable seizing up.

I called sea star they recommend the hk6400a-3 kit plus the hoses will be close to 1000 is this system compatible with auto pilot or work if I put a newer outboard on the company was hard to get a hold of and not a lot of information

I only have the steering system not autopilot so I'd call the manufacturer of the autopilot

I have the bay star and run a Raymarine auto pilot ev 100. In your case you would need a ev 200 because of the size of the hydraulic ram but yes it is compatible.

Sea star is a great system but you will pay for it. Well worth it
