Recommended Posts

Schuyler county sheriff Yessman has issued an advisory and a speed limit of 5 mph on the lakes due to high water and debris.

Be safe guys.

It may take a while before the lake settles down after that much disruption too Nick.  It is no joke to get stuff like that caught in your prop no matter what type of boat you're in. You also have to wonder what impact this may have on the stream beds down there.

Yeah. I saw a boat go out at about 4 yesterday. I didn't stick around but hope they didn't take her up on plane....

It's gonna be a couple weeks before this recedes

As long as Marsh Creek and Castle Creek are swollen and the street runoff pipes are running the mud will be circulating. They get the run-off from most of Geneva's properties emptying into the north end and it will take a while to resolve .

As f Friday at 730 pm the canal is pretty cluttered and dirty. Still large trees floating on the lake. A guy came in an regrets going out and risking it.
