Hit them again today and bite was a little slower but we picked up a couple bonus pike. This was my take and my buddy took home about the same number.

As it turns out I should have stuck around a few more days! Still trying to fill that deer tag, but the deer have become as elusive as those late season ducks. I did manage to get some long overdue chores done and moved a tree stand I wanted to reposition, but would rather be cleaning a bucket of perch any day.

 

Did you find any better bait than we had?

Yep, they have really nice perch bait now at the 1000 Island Bait Store. May try the ducks in Canada this week before leaving for NJ.

I always thought perch was a member of the Walleye family?
