your subtrolll can work with klincher but it has to be modified. you have to drill out the pin thats hold the clip in. change the clip to stainless replace pin with a 10-24 bolt and nut wrap the bare end of the cable around the threads tighten nut. pean the nut so it does not come off. spray with rubber electric spray good to go.

does the probe have a good battery in it....

also also have to ask is the probe submerged in water? when it is not submerged in water your display will only get the "point"
