Cannon Digi Troll II down riggers

I'm looking to upgrade my down riggers from manual to electric. Found a pair of Cannon Digi Troll II for sale.

I've used Cannon in the past but was looking for feedback on this model...are they good and what's a good price including the swivel base.

I dont know what the price range is.(they came with the boat when we bought it). I love them. Easy to use. Read the manuel you'll find out there so much you can do with them.

before you buy DT II's call fish 307.com and ask them if they can be fixed if they break.

If you get ones that do work well they are great fun to fish with.

I also run 2 Digitrol II's. I have talked directly with Cannon and if the keypad goes bad there are no replacements any longer. They can convert it to a Mag 10 though for over $100.

If there is other problems like mechanical not involving the keypad they can fix it. I just had mine refurbished by Cannon a couple years ago.

If they have the older motors, Cannon does not support those any more since being sold to Johnson and finding replacement motors is difficult. I just went thru that and got lucky.

hey guys...thanks for all the great input...I agree...I think these are a bit toooo out of date and have found some refurbished Mag 15's...for the same price...$400 each with swivel bases included.

Still a bit more pricey than I'd wanted to spend...I'm only an occasional user..and price of gas may limit that even more.

If anyone hears of some manual ones with extendable booms please let me know...thanks!!
