Hemlock

Fishing for Fun

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm just getting into ice fishing, and I would like to try Hemlock. Just wondering if anyone could give me a starting point? North end, South end, depth, anything would be greatly appreciated.

I fished Cranberry for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and did fairly well. Brought back about a dozen perch out of the 25 or so that I caught. Also caught some nice blue gills and a few crappie. Onle 1 fish on a tip up, the rest were all caught out of the same hole jigging with a small sweedish pimple with mousies on it.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

If I were you I would go to the south end of Hemlock. It is quite a walk to get to the drop off, but once you are there, there is the possibility of catching just about anything that swims in that lake. Just a bit of cheap advice..run a line of tipups from 8' to about 35' with shiners that are about 5 to 7' off the bottom. The brown trout fishing is fantastic. Late ice try to get yourself infront of the creek as there are a ton of rainbows that run up it.
