Out of Sandy last night

Lake was beautiful and the beer was cold...ran all spoons between 150- 200ft ,down 50-125. 2 dipsey, 2 rigger and a leadcore down the chute. 2 skippy's and a fat laker. I seen 2 other boats out there and was wondering how they did. I have a new Fishhawk 4d (bluetooth) that I haven't gotten around to putting on yet. I'm sure I will do better with downspeed and temp when I do..that will be another subject soon. Off the Pigeon Lake,Ontario for 11 days next week to fish for walleyes and muskie .

Down speed and temp is huge difference. We can all judge by the way or dipsy are pulling, but with the probe everything is precise. You'll wish you installed it earlier

Probe For $700. I already wish I installed it ! Hope it's worth it, heard it would be and that's why I bought it. I have another graph to install, along with a network hub, 2 transom savers, 3 transducers and power amp for my stereo. So I have been dragging my feet on getting it done. Only been out on the lake 3 times this year so far. Optimum temp and speed that everyone looks for would be my next question. I was hoping to get a couple nice steelie's  last night. I was to the East of the other 2 boats. Looked like we were around the same depth though.

I catch 90% in 44-50 degrees water. If there feeding they come up into warmer temp for bait then lay low when not. I always keep my probe around 50 degrees then have other riggers 10 feet above and below. Once I get a hit then I go where the fish are. Speed I usually 2.4 -2.7. if your catches Lakers then your usually going to slow. It i got kids with me for Lakers I run 1.5 - 2. After the bite slows I always have something in 42-44 degrees (not on the bottom) looking for a bruiser

Just mount transducers correctly. It can be difficult set up when dealing with other signals just youtube it or read directions. Good luck.

Depending on the brand, over 1.8 the bites decrease dramatically.

Sandy was on fire last night netted 5 20 + lbers n lost at least 3 4 n brought in half a dozen 8-12 Lbers 100-200 spoons down 80-110 wires out 220 350 best fishing trip this year was the white w red strip boat w red top lots of boats in same water sure that they crushed them to all fish swam back after a quick pic after holding them over boat for 3-5 mins

I never use cow bells....... I only go for Lakers if my kids are on the boat or a tournament. Flashes and flies work great for Lakers also. I think cow bells work better I just try hard to not catch them.
