Boat in Canada

I am looking at a boat in Canada And wondering if there is anyone out there that knows how to get it from Canada to NY.  I am looking to have a Capt. or a professional service Bring it from Toronto to Sodus Point. I have no idea how that is done I have been inquiring through the surveyors but not getting anywhere.

Call customs they'll give you all the legal info you need, then just drive it back across the lake

Call Krenzers Marina in Sodus. Need a broker for a small fee and it makes a world of difference, much easier to do

Bought a boat for work couple of years ago from Canada- as Sea-IV stated get a broker- let him deal with the paperwork and what not

i've delt with import of various things as part of my job.  I cannot emphasize enough how valuable a good broker is, the above posts are right hire one and be done with it.  the paperwork is painful at best and often the two countries cant agree on whats needed and what isnt.
