Moor subtroll

Can the Moor Subtroll be used without a coated downrigger cable. If so, about how deep can you get without loosing signal.

There is a special downrigger wire that can be used. I believe it is called torpedo but I dont know how well it works.

We've been running torpedo brand wire with our Subtroll for two years now. I like it and have never lost signal with it. We usually don't need to go deeper than 120.

Moor and Depth Raider use cable for signal. Have to used plastic coated cable or the Torpedo cable with a wire sheath exterior and a fine coated signal cable in the center. Have used both and IMO pros and con with both. With good connections both read down 100 plus.
