Sodus - Grass in the water

Just curious. What is up with all the grass in the water? We were trolling 180 - 250 for down 90 - 130 ft. Been trolling 30+ years, and have never had this problem. Not seeing any grass on the surface either. Any ideas? Thanks.

big thunderstorm the other day likely washed alot of debris into the lake.

Think of the strong  underwater current out there as a river. Sometimes folks mistakenly identify underwater debris as fish too

Well I've never mistakenly snagged and underwater debris, but I have heard it's from the Niagara River. Been dodging it for at least a month now.

I did dodge it so well during the sandy Shootout,took me an hour to clear and clean every line rigger cable and planner board

Some years ago, we snagged via cannonball, an old piece of submerged gill net on Lake Erie. The net was full of rotting fish and was a tangled mess of mono netting. We were happy to cut our way out of it and watch it sink back into the depths.......... but the stink remained on us, and I think it does to this very day........
