Owasco trolling this morning on Owasco

My one grandson is home on leave from the Air Force for a week so we went over to Owasco Lake this morning to catch some lakers before his leave was up.

 The boat launch had only 2 other rigs in it and that seemed odd to me on such a nice day. We trolled for 4 hours , marked a few lakers  and not one release, this has been the pattern for me all summer, Any ideas what's going on? Gary

Same for me, fished 8 times. 3 lakers, 2 small rainbow. Burned gas, marked little. Went back to skinny and cayuga.

summer time fishing can be tough if you cant find fish in deep enough water for them to have comfortable temps for them try to find the thermocline were it meets the bottom then look for bait and larger fish
