Big John Otter boat the best planar ?

Recommended Posts

if pulling more then 300' copper,i would run the dual keels.another thing to consider is storage, they do take up alot of room,if you are fishing from a smaller boat,it may be tough to find a spot to store them, other then that they work great,we pull 500 copper on them and have pulled smaller coppers in 4 footers with no problem.

The shape of otterboats rounded. I didn't really value that until one day two springs ago, my boards and those of another boat crossed each other. The line of the other boat just slid underneath my boards, the boat dipped forward and the line slid under through. Boards with bolts sticking out or with sharp angles will catch the rigger line and cause havoc.
