big jon downrigger question

 Having a problem with a big jon downrigger . when it is not runninging up or down the motor will turn and let the cable out. The motor is turning not the clutch. Has anyone had this problem ? If so how did you fix it?  Thanks in advance for your help.

But I would say it is a bad clutch. I don't think the motor is designed to hold.

  I did call them it ended up being an adjustment on the motor itself. Thanks for the response garrymny.

interesting. Didn't know there was an adjustment. I got mine a month ago, on ebay used. seems to work fine so far.
