Hummingbird Helix chirp gen 2

Does anyone run this sonar unit on their boat and are you happy with it??

I just bought a helix 7 chirp gen 2. I put it on last weekend and used it for a few hours .... so far so good . Bright screen easy to use buttons . It won't operate under 10 volts so make sure your batteries have enough juice to run everything or run the helix to its own power source . My navionics chip was back ordered but should be here tomorrow , so after this weekend I should have a better review . So far I'm happy... check out boatersland. Com , best prices I could find . $454.00 for the 7.  Good luck

I run them on my charter boat. No issues. Love them!

I talked to a couple charter boats out of Oswego also that run them and they love Helix 10. I bought one yesterday, waiting anxiously for it to be delivered!

I have the new 12 and a 9, use them everyday, and love both units.  The mega imaging is awesome if you fish structure.

I got the helix 7 chirp with gps.....not crazy about it

just put a lowrance  elite 7 on also

probably use the bird for gps only or end up selling it

too many adjustments to go through to get split zoom screen.......1 touch on my lowrance and good to go

 

these things are getting way out of hand with technology just like so called smart phones
