older model cannon mag10 dg help

Hi

I own 2 older model mag 10.One day last year i started having trouble on one retrieving my 12 lb. cannon ball.I had the motor checked by a shop and was told ok.I changed the switch.I even switched the motor from another unit I had.it still needs help retrieving and wondered what else may be causing the problem.I did notice the front pulley seems a little worn and does not run true.Any help would be appreciated.

Did you look for any cracks in the motor housing when you changed motors ?

Is the cluch slipping some ? May need to tighten a bit.

I would start by checking the clutch if that's not the problem try retrieving 8 pound ball the 12 maybe to heavy for the older rigger

im not sure what you mean by the clutch.it seems you just tighten the nob on mine.Thanks for your reply.
