I-Bay fishing

 Will be taking the grandkids for a fishing outing. Looking for any advice for catching something in the bay. The kids are pretty young so something easier like worms or live bait is probably best. I'm not much of a pan fish fisherman so any help would be appreciated.

If you put worms on the bottom you will get a nice mix of panfish and gobies - I would stay south of the bridge.  Use size 4 or smaller.  Drop shot with a double loop knot might be easiest for the kids.  good luck.  I think catchn and not getting is most important for kids.  If you fish all day and get one nice fish it is not as rewarding as constant catching of garbage fish all day.

Try way back in Helds cove just south of the bridge on the east side. Bobbers, small hooks and a piece of crawler should get some fish.

Where is the closest place to launch a kayak to get into the cove?

Launch at the south West end.  you would have to cross the bay.
