MEDIUM CHIRP interferes with FISH HAWK.

Recommended Posts

Lowrance elite 4 chirp. High chirp setting doesn't bother it but when set to medium chirp the FISH HAWK display comes and goes allot. I prefer the medium chirp because I can see the balls with it, not so well, or at all with high chirp. Also fish give a longer hook with medium, just a blip with high. Tried moving the fish finder transducer but it didn't help. I am wondering if putting the probe down on the same side as the fish hawk transducer would help. Now I send it down on the opposite side down rigger.

I have a garmin unit and on the low freq. it cross talks with the fish hawk some. Called fish hawk and even sent them pics of my transom. Their advise was to use the higher freq. That being said I have found that when the cross talk dose occur I switch to the higher for awhile and then back to the lower. I can mostly fish on the lower. Kinda stinks switching back and forth but I like seeing bait.  Didn't want to just start moving transducers without talking to fish hawk.
